Just a quick update, while we have not made progress on planning a stand alone LaidOffCamp in San Diego, there will be a Barcamp in San Diego this weekend (5/30 and 5/31). I'm planning on having a session on Saturday that addresses some of the LaidOffCamp concepts. Maybe we can move on to organizing something beyond that, depending on the response. Hope to see you all there!

If you are familiar with BarCampSD, then you know Dan (aka Viss, dan at atenlabs dot com) already, as he is the man who has been one of the forces behind all 4 of them. We're hoping that LaidOffCamp SD can be as successful as previous BarCamps in SD, but with a strong focus on the topics that matter the most in today's difficult economy. If you are interested in attending, let us know so you can get involved and stay abreast of what is being planned. Thanks!
